SAP S/4HANA Core Integration - Energy Industry
Transfer of billing data from industry solutions for utilities
Integration of SAP and non-SAP systems
In connection with the operation of external energy billing systems (SAP and non-SAP), energy suppliers usually need to map the transfer of billing data to the general ledger.
The processing/transfer of electronic payment media and electronic account statements between the systems - energy billing system (possibly with Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable) and the S/4 HANA back-end system of the energy supplier - are also part of industry-dependent integration scenarios.
More possibilities through SAP BTP
The classic implementation environment has been expanded to the extent that not only known SAP standard interfaces (e.g. RFC, IDoc, BAPI) are available, but also other protocols and services.
These technological innovations enable the use of new IT operating architectures for the transfer of transaction data, especially in the environment of process-oriented sales and information system application components.
The technological basis for this is provided by the SAP Business Technology Platform, in order to be able to extend almost all SAP SaaS solutions and conceivable use cases in the utilities sector if required.
These SAP interfaces allow any other software and solutions to exchange data with the SAP system.
